It’s not clear whether Hashim Rahman has really move on and forgotten his fight with Jake Paul or he is angry about it. The fight never took place because there was an issue with Hashim’s weight.

Hashim’s comments about the fight made it into sports news and while he claims he has moved on, it doesn’t seem that way from the way he has commented on the fight.

Hashim Is Angry at Jake

According to Hashim, Jake wanted to face him only for publicity. Once he got the publicity he wanted, he became the reason for the cancellation of the fight.

It is important to mention here that the two were to face each other but some discrepancy in Hashim’s weight caused the event to be called off. According to Hashim, the issue was never that big.

He says Jake wanted him to be as low as 200lbs, which is physically not fit for him. According to him, his team even made request with Jake Paul to consider the fight while ignoring the extra 5lbs but Jake’s side never agreed.

Hashim thinks this was Paul’s motive from the get go. He believes Jake never wanted to fight with someone who had a boxing background. The match between the two never took place and Jake instead fought against a retired MMA fighter, namely Anderson Silva, who was 47 at the time of the match up.

Hashim Zeroing in on Jake’s Brother

Jake might have never wanted the fight, but Hashim is ready to fight his brother next. In fact, he thinks the people might never see him and Jake Paul in the same ring ever, but believes Logan Paul could be his next opponent.

While commenting on the possibility of his fight with Logan Paul, Hashim expressed his displeasure with how much attention Jake Paul receives.

He believes Jake isn’t a proper boxer but gets the media attention anyway. Hashim finished his interview by saying that he didn’t think Jake Paul will ever be a real boxer with skills.

According to him, he gets media attention only because of his fans or those who hate him and want to see him get beaten in the ring.
