Hailing from Monmouth, New Jersey, R.J. Allen has quickly established himself as a big part of first year franchise New York City Football Club. Allen, regarded as a top prospect out of college, began his career out at Chivas USA but due to the folding of the club, Allen found himself lurking in the waters of free agency. Jason Kreis and his coaching staff soon pounced and Allen became a Sky Blue.

Having played in pivotal games such as the first ever Hudson River derby game against the New York Red Bulls and against Eastern Conference leading DC United, Allen has left his mark on the fan base. Now, bringing his talents to the New York Sports Hub family, Allen has another place he can call home.

From having a forum to interact with the ever growing fan following of New York City FC, Allen will be at the forefront of some of our social media coverage, with chances to win signed memorabilia from the defender himself. We have prided ourselves on content for the fans, by the fans, but this recent expansion will only connect fans with their fan favorites.

When asked to comment on this partnership, Allen only had positives to say, stating “I couldn’t be more excited to join New York Sports Hub during such an exciting time. It provides me with another way to interact with our fan base. The fans here in New York City mean a lot both to me and this organization. This provides me with a great opportunity to connect with them off the pitch.”

We welcome Mr. R.J. Allen to the family.
