Rick Nash Out Indefinitely With Groin Injury

Possibly the player with the hottest touch on the New York Rangers team has now been hit with the injury bug, again.

After injuring his groin in a December 6 loss to the New York Islanders that had him sidelined for four games, Nash returned to the lineup and made an immediate impact scoring the game-winning shorthanded goal against the Dallas Stars on Thursday, while also adding a sharp angle goal in Nashville on Saturday.

However, on Sunday, Nash did not tally a point but looked sharp in his puck control and stick handling. There was no indication that anything was wrong with Nash during Sunday’s contest, but nevertheless, Nash is out indefinitely and will miss Tuesday’s big game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are two points behind the Rangers for the first spot in the dominant Metropolitan Division.
