Syracuse University alumni Trevor Cooney is set to sign a D-League deal with Brooklyn Nets affiliate, the Long Island Nets, the assurance of him going to training camp this season.

The likelihood is that Cooney will go to Nets camp, then be waived in order for him to officially sign with Long Island for the upcoming D-League season.
Over the course of last season Cooney averaged 12.6 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 35.4% from behind the arc at Syracuse.
